Perry Sweeper

BUCK! a December child born in Baltimore, MD has come upon us. While others continue to emit the same resounding cry BUCK! pierces the veil of color to redefine and redesign life. He is no warning. He is a canon of fire.
"We stand charged with the duty of telling the truth. What truth you ask? The truth of our fate! The soliloquy of our demise. Our eyes have closed; we follow blindly. ” BUCK!’s own words, like his work, wakes its audience and polarizes their thoughts. A self proclaimed propagandist, BUCK! has claimed his spirit and is bound to seize yours.
Over the last two years, his works have shown at Groove Gumbo, Art O Matic, and his own shows entitled ...Then I Became Negro and BUCK! ARTWORK MBILASHAKA. Interviews in the Washington City Paper and B-Girl.net describe him as a man who reaches beyond sight to give visionary surges of clarity in times of diluted duplicity. He is currently the Creative Director of Streetz Magazine and a contributor to Free Magazine. Recently BUCK! was named one of Martell Cognac’s African-American Artist on the Rise.
